ABOUT THE COMPANY:

DPI Data Protection International Ltd. ("DPI International") is an international company with headquarters in London. Its main practice areas are e-privacy and data protection. It also provides consultancy services on Information Technology and Communications law (i.e. e-commerce law, rights in the digital millennium, etc.)

 

DPI International offers solutions in a legal point of view and carries out compliance and implementation projects which may include, depending on the preference or requirement of its clientele,  data protection training programs, risk assessments, privacy impact assessments, registration procedures before the relevant Supervisory Authority,  data mapping, data inventory projects, documentation procedures (i.e. policies, data transfer agreements, information and consent requirements, etc.), data security programs and management of data and privacy matters.

 

DPI International offers its services to the organizations located in the UK or abroad that process data in the UK, EU or Turkey.

In order to come up with harmonised and multifaceted solutions for its clientele, DPI International aims to harmonise the data protection legislation, specifically the EU's GDPR and other relevant data protection rules where necessary, such as the KVKK - the Turkish equivalent of GDPR - and the former 95/46/EC Directive of the EU.

DPI International aims to ensure and maintain mindfulness and awareness as regards to personal data protection matters. For that purpose, DPI International keeps a straight-forward approach and aims to find solutions that are easy to adopt. It points out the necessities thoroughly and analyses the requirements and aims to provide feasible solutions and methods for implementation.

​​​​FOUNDER'S BIOGRAPHY:

​

​Elif E. Eksioglu is a lawyer who obtained her law degree from Marmara University, Istanbul/Turkey in 2009 and her master's degree (LL.M) from Queen Mary University of London, UK on "Computer and Communications Law" in 2012.

 

She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) since 2020 and a member of the European Association of Data Protection Professionals (EADPP) as of 2019.

 

Her main practice areas are personal data protection and data privacy law, e-commerce law, telecommunications law and information technology law. She is a barrister in Turkey registered with Istanbul Bar Association since 2012.

​

She has been working on complex data protection compliance and implementation projects of various companies from different sectors that process personal data in the UK, EU and/or Turkey. She has worked at prestigious law firms as an associate lawyer and at a bank as a Personal Data Protection Specialist where she was assigned by and acted on behalf of the DPO of the bank. She thereby gained sophisticated experience and knowledge on bringing issues to practical and immediate solutions in compliance with relevant data protection legislation.

In 2019, she had the opportunity to turn her experience into an even better advantage by starting her own business, hence incorporated DPI International Ltd. in London.

​

She has been working as a consultant on the ITC law and data protection law since 2012 and widening her knowledge since then. She aims to harmonise her experience in data protection compliance in order to provide her clients with feasible solutions and implementations.
